Problems with Oil Project – The movie

For any first time viewers of this blog:

I couldn’t wait to for the usual underpinnings of project based learning: block scheduling, interdisciplinary learning etc. so I got started with the Take Action Project in the 7th grade and this in our 8th grade. I hope this 5 minute movie might inspire you to give it a try too.

It was engaging, sometimes scary, manageable, often fun and in the end, very satisfying to weave into the 8th grade physical science standards.

See previous blog entries, many of which contain student activity guides.

Questions? Feedback? Help with deciding if this project is a fit for your class room or school? Please comment and I’ll respond.
